Choosing Your Competition Level
Fun for everyone
A common question you may be asking is, "What competition level should I choose for myself and/or my team?"
See descriptions of the competition levels below to help you decide!
Also, the first week of the challenge (starting 4/26) will be a Preseason so participants can have one week to learn what the challenges are like, how to complete them, and how to post proof. Essentially, the Preseason is a one week trial of the challenge.
If during Preseason you feel the competition level you chose is too easy or too challenging, then you may switch your level prior to the start of the regular season.
We will also keep registration open during the Preseason so you can continue to tell your family and friends gathering more teammates as desired.
*Note: Not all challenges will be physical in nature. Some challenges may incorporate other health elements including nutrition and art/creativity (style points likely to be awarded). But for challenges that are more fitness-oriented, we wanted to scale them so there can be appropriately challenging and help to "level the playing field."*
Beginner
Consider this our "Family Friendly" category. Age ranges within a given team might vary greatly (kids to .older adults). Personalities are likely more laid-back. And fitness levels required to complete challenges are low. There is "fun for the whole family"...may find ways to even get your pets involved :)
Intermediate
Consider this our "Average Joe's" category. Playing off the Dodgeball movie theme here...you and your team are likely recreational athletes of various personality types. That's not to say you don't enjoy a good challenge...and are definitely in it to win it. The challenges will likely challenge you physically, and require a team effort to complete them.
Advanced
Consider this our "Gluttons for Punishment" category. You and your team are likely to be more competitive than your typical recreational athlete...and no strangers to pushing yourselves physically. We know you would get bored if challenges are too easy, so we created this category to keep you entertained and test your ability to ENDURE.
